Stay safe on Apart
Last updated: May 15, 2026
Apart is built around verified profiles, but no app can guarantee another person's intent. A few habits go a long way.
Online
- Look for the verified ✓ badge before investing time in a conversation.
- Keep early conversations on Apart. We can review reports here; we can't on text or social.
- Never send money, gift cards, or crypto. Anyone who asks is a scammer.
- Don't share your address, ID, banking info, or workplace early on.
- Reverse-image search photos that feel too perfect.
Meeting in person
- First meet in a public, well-lit place. Coffee, walks, daytime hours.
- Tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting. Share your live location.
- Arrange your own transport. Don't get picked up at home the first time.
- Don't drink anything you didn't see poured. Watch your drink.
- You can leave at any time, for any reason. You don't owe anyone an explanation.
Consent
Consent must be enthusiastic, freely given, and ongoing. It can be withdrawn at any time. "Yes" to one thing isn't "yes" to everything.
If something happens
- You're in immediate danger: call your local emergency services first.
- On Apart: tap ⋯ on the profile or conversation → Report. We review every report and take action.
- Need to talk: email hello@apartasone.com. A real person reads it.
